Karl & Rachel Hoyer
Pastor
In addition to serving as pastor of Summerhill Baptist Church, Pastor Karl serves as the Director of the Mission Genesee Valley Hope Center in his hometown of Wellsville, NY. Pastor Karl works within the communities of Allegany County, NY and Potter County, Pennsylvania to assist with partnership among the local congregations, helps to facilitate a weekly Celebrate Recovery ministry, and gives direct oversight to GriefShare and DivorceCare through the Hope Center on Fridays. He also provides oversight to community evangelistic outreaches such as ARISE: See Here
Karl and Rachel serve in missionary roles to bring the Gospel of Jesus Christ to other regions in the United States and around the world.
Rachel is a missionary kid from a Latin American country. Rachel is fluent in Spanish and works alongside Karl in communication with a network of Hispanic leaders in Virginia as well as communication with the leadership of a church plant Karl and Rachel are giving oversight to in Oaxaca, Mexico.
Pastor Karl will be leading a team of 20 people from Virginia to Mexico in the summer of 2023 to strengthen the congregation in Mexico. Please be praying for the preparation and details of this upcoming trip. We are establishing the first Christian church in that area.
Tim & Karen Stewart
Ministry Partner Development Coordinator
“God used my college experience to change me more than in any other period of my life. I’m a radically different person from who I was at the beginning of my freshman year. God put it on my heart to see that other college students have the chance I had to discover what the Lord wants for them. Many college students these days have never even set foot in a church, let alone know what Christ did for them and how He loves them.” Tim meets with students one-on-one to help them develop a relationship with Jesus. For this reason, the Stewarts moved to Buffalo to engage college students with the exciting realities of following Jesus.
Having ministered at the University at Buffalo since 2006, God has awoken a passion in Tim not only for college students but also for campus ministers. “I work with some of the most amazing people. I absolutely love the people God has called to minister to college students and I want to do all that I can to help them thrive in their ministries. When I’m successful at this, I feel as though I’m spreading the Gospel on many campuses.”
Tim has taken on the additional role of being the Ministry Partner Development Coordinator. He works alongside ministers, training, coaching, and counseling them as they step out in faith in their journey of support raising. “Support raising is a crucible that God uses to refine potential campus ministers. It forces them to ‘practice what they preach’ and step out in faith and trust that God himself is going to provide for all that they need to accomplish what he has called them to. I love walking alongside these ministers as they go through this journey and I love seeing how God transforms them along the way.”
Bill & Kathy Bacheller
President of Counseling
We are living in a suburb of the City of Anápolis, Goiás, Brazil, on the 120 square yard property of Oásis Counseling Ministry. I am the founder and current president of this Counseling Center for Missionaries, Pastors, and their families. We counsel in English, Spanish, and Portuguese, depending on the mother tongue of the counselee. The counselees come for 12 day periods, and many continue with online counseling. We also have periods of extended therapy for counselees who need it. I am a therapist as well as responsible for leading the staff.
We have started a second counseling center in Belo Horizonte, in the State of Minas Gerais, about 1200 kilometers from here. This year we have planned three 12 day counseling periods for that campus.
I am involved in mentoring some seminary students, counseling others, and traveling to 3 mission agencies to do psychological profiles for new candidates as well as veteran missionaries.

Peter & Edi Wilson
WEC International
Peter and Edi Wilson are members of WEC International. WEC’s dream is to see Christ known, loved and worshipped among the unreached of the world. After more than twenty-five years working in Japan they are now back in the UK. Pete took over as Head of Operations for WEC UK & Ireland in February 2023, overseeing the administration of WEC in the UK, including finance, IT and property management. Most of this work is quite new to him.
Together, Pete and Edi are both part of the WEC Youth Office, seeking to introduce world mission to young people. The main thrust of this is the summer camps for 9 – 17 year-olds, where the missionary talks and activities are given a prominent place alongside the Bible teaching and the fun and games. The office work getting ready for the camps and processing bookings starts in February, leading up to the two weeks of the camps themselves in July and August.
Apart from that they are involved in direct outreach to non-Christians through an online Bible study with Chinese in China every week, and through their local church’s English Conversation Cafe with international students at the nearby university.
If you would like to contribute financially, you can do so directly to their UK bank account (details available on request) or through their Stewardship account: Click Here
